Leslie Carter -- the sister of pop singers Nick and Aaron Carter -- has died, Access Hollywood reports.

The 25-year-old aspiring singer, who appeared on the family's 2006 reality show House of Carters, died Tuesday in upstate New York. No further details about her death were immediately available.

"Our family is grieving right now and it's a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter," the Carter family said. "We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time."

She was married in 2008, and gave birth to daughter Alyssa Jane Ashton last April 1.
