Ballard County Deputy Sheriff Cary Batts said a man was seriously injured after a collapsed roof left him trapped under rubble Monday.

Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham said that some farms to the east of the Toyoda Gosei Automotive Sealing Kentucky plant had minor damage to their homes in addition to more severe damage to outbuildings such as barns and equipment sheds. Officials said seven employees at the Toyoda Gosei plant suffered minor injuries.

In Muhlenberg County, the sheriff's department says strong winds have brought down power lines and trees, but no injuries have been reported.
